My understanding is these bags are sealed upon removal from the store and of course the door on the truck should’ve been securely latched.

This incident is more on the driver than the individuals who pulled over to collect the money that was left raining down on 285 due to what seems to be negligence by the armored truck employee.

I’m with others, they’re never going to get all that money back and it’s ridiculous to go after those who stopped to collect some of it. Even the folks who did the “right thing” and turned in what they collected I doubt they returned all the money they grabbed. The armored company should file an insurance claim, reprimand the employee and call it a day.

Doesn't say much for the alleged "security" of an armored car service.

Pretty sure the Armor truck drivers helped themselves to a nice sum too. No way they see all those people taking cash they just spilled all over the expressway, knowing they are probably fired and didnt pocket some themselves. $200 out of 175K recovered at the time.
