Definitely the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It's in the middle of the city, and we have a diverse congregation of people from all over the metro and from all walks of life. It's one of the oldest churches in Atlanta, and there's a good mix of Catholics, young and old, and being close to the hotels, we have out-of-town visitors every week, especially during big events. I visited every other parish in the area, including some farther from the city, and Sacred Heart is the best of all. It also helps that it's the most beautiful church in Atlanta, and the only Basilica in Georgia. Come see for yourself: everyone is welcome!

Yeah, hate to break this to you, but to be married in a Catholic Church you're going to have to get your previous marriage annulled first. Which isn't an easy task. There's a whole process and you'll need to get your ex spouse to sign some paper work so I hope you're on good terms with her.

I don't know that this is true. If they were not originally married in a Catholic church, I don't know that the Catholic church would recognize it as being married. I'm sure he has checked that out. If not, call the diocese and ask. I don't know that any catholic church will just allow you to be married there if you are not attending mass regularly there and part of the parish so find one you like and join the parish and get some months of attendance under your belt. Good luck to you!
