This could be a big boost to the Edgewood area.

Quote:
A third location of Slutty Vegan and its line-inducing meatless burgers heads to the Old Fourth Ward by early next year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported. Details are scarce, but the wildly popular Westview vegan burger restaurant plans to open on Edgewood Avenue next door to Edgewood Pizza.

Really confusing sometimes how we use Edgewood interchangeably to refer to both a neighborhood and a business district/street. Even more so because the street doesn't go through the neighborhood at all.

I've never been there.

But I'm confused as to how it became so popular serving Impossible burgers. Can't any restaurant do the same thing? I guess they must have other tasty dishes, too.

Anyway, I support vegan options.

They're burgers are really good and it's gimmicky and attracts a lot of attention making people curious to try it. They also have a great marketing scheme, celebrities in Atlanta and ones coming through Atlanta frequently post videos of them taking their first bite of their burger and becoming "slutified"

I haven't gone to the original location but heard from friends that the lines are insane. If it can keep it up the hype, it will bring a ton more people to Edgewood.

Oh, I know, ATLTJL. I was referring to your question about how they became so popular serving impossible burgers.

I don't think a restaurant with a formula that is so easy to duplicate can possibly keep up the hype for long. But hopefully it can remain successful with a loyal fan base after the hype dies down.

Especially after I open Skanky Plants next door.

People I know that live by Slutty Vegan, hate the place and cant wait for it to leave. Long lines going around the block sometimes, people throwing their trash on the ground alot of the times when they are done eating, using the bathroom on peoples lawn or the side of buildings, because Slutty Vegan has no bathrooms, and people parking wherever and blocking people in.
