Anyone familiar with Ridgelake Condos in PTC? I noticed they have quite a few for sale in there . The price seems within my budget for buying . I will be coming up in a couple weeks but thought Id find out if anyone knows of anything here . Is it possible to get something small in PTC for under 200K single family or attached?? THx!!

I'm not that familiar with that particular complex, but I know where it is. It's right next to Lake Peachtree in the middle of Peachtree City. Everything in the city would be easily accessible by golf cart from that location. The only issue I can think of is that sometimes that area is prone to flooding. The adjacent condo complex, Tinsley Mill, definitely has flooding issues. I'm not sure about that complex. It may be back far enough from the lake to not have issues, but I would definitely investigate that.

There is very little in Peachtree City for under 200K. The average home is north of 400k. If you do find anything in that range, it usually sales quickly or needs significant work.

Yeah, the biggest problem with Ridgelake and any homes in that area is the flooding. Very beautiful though.

You could try the Fairfield subdivision in PTC. It is a lovely neighborhood. I think you can still get homes right around 200K or a little below in that neighborhood but they go fast. Also Preston Chase is right around the street for a little more. But I really love the Fairfield because it is well-maintained and has beautiful mature vegetation. Great location as well.

On the west side, you have Wynnmeade which still has lots of units under 200K. Wynnmeade has a lot of potential and on a lake. However, it is pretty run down by PTC standards. The houses don''t seem to have aged well and many only have one bathroom.

I am most familiar with the north side of PTC, but in the southern parts you might have luck in the Glenloch area.

The biggest problem you're going to have getting a house 200K and under in PTC is that you're going to be competing with investors, who are either looking to flip the houses for a profit or turn it into a rental.
