Iíve never lived in Atlanta and Iím hoping someone can point me in the right direction. It looks like I will be working on the north end of downtown off of Peachtree. I really only need it 2-3 nights out of the week since I will be working from home part of the week in Birmingham. Iím a professional in my 40ís. I donít need luxury, just a clean, safe, and reasonably priced 1 BR that will be convenient traveling in both directions. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Default AirBnB

That is a good idea and would save me some money I think. I've never actually tried AirBnB though, and I was hoping for a place I could leave some clothes, food, etc.

Are there any areas off the I-20 corridor that would have a workable commute?

outside of Abnb, I doubt anyone is going to want to go through the hassle of renting to you a few days a week. They will just rent to someone for a full year and be paid more. That said the best option may be to look for someone with a basement apartment they rent out. Even on a long term basis they could be cheaper than a studio or 1 bedroom apartment.

here's one for 750 a month

A basement or garage apt. is a great idea.
