Until further notice, outdoor irrigation is limited to Wednesdays plus Saturdays for even-numbered addresses and Tuesdays plus Sundays for odd-numbered between the hours of 4pm and 10am.

Also, washing vehicles, hard surfaces and for ornamental purposes is not allowed.

This does not affect Newnan Utilities customers.

How long has it been since you guys have had rain? When I was last there it took me by surprise that all the grass was brown.

The Saturday before last, there was a stationary 10-mile wide severe thunderstorm that lasted about an hour and dumped a an inch of rain. That helped to cull the browing somewhat.

Other than that, we haven't had any rain.

Well, Sonny Purdue is now Secretary of Agriculture.

Surely that means his prayers have a better chance of being answered this time, right?
