While they're scattered about, you can find some cool mcm sprawls along Skipper Drive, Eleanor Terrace, Engle Road, and Waterford Rd.

Also, when we were looking around for a temporary rental I ran into quite a few cool ones in Sagamore Hills...but you might already be aware of them...like other areas around Emory it's a mix of ranch and mid-century modern...more ranch. But I did see several homes I think of as Mary Tyler Moore Homes....which is weird because I think she lived in an apartment on that show....it's just a weird association I have stuck in my head...

Maybe because Rob and Laura Petries' house on the Dick Van Dyke Show looked very mid-century modern. I think it was supposed to be in New Rochelle, NY.

Funny...I always call 1960's modern-style ranches and split-levels "Brady Bunch" houses.

California Contemporary is another name for them. WSB had a photo gallery of Monday's strom damage and I noticed a couple mid-century homes had trees fall on them. It's gotta be expensive and difficult to find people who can properly repair these types of houses. My friends live in one. They said getting their roof replaced was ridiculously expensive, so I can only imagine the expense of a partial (or complete) rebuild, plus roof repair.

look in the Spring Valley subdivision off Columbia Dr. Strong HOA makes it stand out in what would otherwise be a "sketchy" area. Some of the houses have great lines.
