Thats where my new job is. I moved here April 2. I don't have any friends or family here. I'm learning as I go.

I wish you'd come to this website before you'd moved!
Have you decided where you're going to move when your lease is up? Folks here can help. I can't help...not familiar with that side of town...

If you get off you can cut through if you know where you are going. If going from College Park to Kenessaw, you can take Camp Creek Parkway all the way to Austell then cut through Austell to the East/West connector, which becomes the Barret Parkway in Kenessaw. 285 would really need to be shut down though to make it worth it. You can also cut back onto Fulton Industrial which should take you to the top end perimeter near Mableton. You can also take Lee Street to Northside Drive in Atlanta and then hop on 75 from there or take White Street and cut through Bankhead.

Once you get past Downtown, your will encounter a lot less congestion. I once commuted to Kennesaw from the city for about a month and it was fairly easy. The only problem is the distance, and even moreso the siginifcant portion of your paycheck that will be given to Big Oil.

I really like Inman Park...my old neighborhood in Jacksonville was just like Inman Park. I was on this site prior to moving as Coolyfett. I was also studying the Marta System when I got off work. My current place is 3 minutes away from College Park Station. That was my main reason for picking it. Plus I'm very close to the airport. I found a job in Kennasaw but it just to a job. I don't believe in sitting around if I could find a gig close to a Marta Station ie: Lenox Mall, Lindberg Center or AT&T that would be great, but those things take time. Ive made that 285 drive 7 times now, but yesterday I didn't know what to call THAT?? Its normally flowing from 285-75 to 285-85 where I get off. It was just a bad lottery ticket. I'm sure it will happen again.

Inman Park is a great place to live. If it fits your style, budget, and commute then you'll love it.
