The TRUTH about Bridgewater Apartments (Duluth, Norcross: luxury, apartment complex, lease)

Can anyone tell me anything about Bridgewater Luxury Apartment Homes on Ridge Brook Trail in Duluth?

I looked at the apartments recently and was wondering if the area is safe? How is the management?

I just saw your post, and you have probably found a place by now, but I used apartmentratings.com to help me find a new apartment.

Also, there are some great realtors out there that can help you find a place to rent, or lease-to-purchase.

There are postings about Bridgewater Luxury Apartment Homes at apartmentratings.com, as well as many other apartment complexes.

I got a job in Norcross in June and moved to Bridgewater. I didn't realize the whole incorporated vs. non-incorporated deal when I moved here and thought I was moving to Duluth- a town I had read and heard good things about.

I visited Bridgewater, liked the apt., and decided to sign the lease b/c it seemed to have everything me and my wife were looking for in an apt. (big closets, open floor plan, big bathrooms, nicely landscaped). Well, I didn't do my research and am suffering because of it. If you do a real good check of the place, you'll notice gang signs and just an overall look of a once nice place that is going down and no one is trying to keep it up. We don't feel real safe, everyday I walk out to my car wondering if its been broken in to- or if its still there...

I believe the general rule of thumb that any of those apts. on that part of Satelitte are bad news. I can't afford the $2k to buyout my lease so I'll be there until June 09, but do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

Oh, I just looked and say the OP was from May so probably has moved on, but this is a good message/ warning to anyone thinking about this area...
