Well, then you'd need to add a Bible across from the gay flag or the bible folks would freak out, and you'd have to add the Big Chicken cause 'cause you do, too.

What sort of symbol for cultural diversity?
Reminding all that it is now time to vote for the 2008 Peachtree Road Race T shirt.

Hmmm...the gay bible chicken is an Atlanta thing...if I were good I could photoshop those icons into the traffic scene...as billboards or something...

It came to our attention, that this thread is veering "off topic", getting personal at times.
Tone it down, get back on track, mind your manners, other people opinions and CD's TOS.
Otherwise, this thread WILL be closed.

Well, I think the original question of why the flag poles/flags are in some yards was answered a while back anyway, so maybe it's time for it to go "poof" regardless.
We're overdue for a "how are the schools in..." thread to work on today anyway. LOL

Too right, Vampgrrl...a friend of mine from Canada that was househunting here said that she always househunts in neighborhoods that have a lot of gay flags because she knows that they're on the way up .

I was informed by some Real Estate agents to check Douglassville out off Lee Road(it is growing) . So I do as I'm told.. and as I proceeded to the I assume older parts of Douglassville I saw a total of 3 confederate flags hanging from some residents home. And by no means am I prejudice , I believe for whatever reason everyone is entitled to fill a certain way (of course it's not right) but hey, you know ... anyway, I could not believe that I mean geez! and within 200 yards there was a African residing close by.That is Definitely not a Area I plan on going to not even to visit . Now I did go on another end of Douglassville close by Durlee Lane and it was filled with a mixed culture but nawl I 'll pass.O.k. I'm through just passing on that information.. LOL...

It is nothing but a flag and as long as noone was bothering you you should mind your own business and let others enjoy thier culture how they please. My mother's white neighbor have thier flag flying proudly over thier home and guess what the neighborhood is ninety percent black. BUt noone cares because people have more important things to do with thier lives than to worry about some flag.

As a previous poster stated, a lot of issue is now rising from newcomers to the area who have probably never seen the flag in their life. I'm not offended by a flag, and if you are then I can't even imagine what other things you must be sensitive to.
On a final note, this thread is going to get ugly fast - I can already tell this thing will erupt into 10 pages of 'beating the dead horse' style posts.
Well it wasn't intended to be that way and I'm From Texas for crying out loud and it still exists here ..especially in a lil small town that I'm from similar to Tifton and KKK galore but they have their rights hey, I was just surprised because all I have heard was about metro atlanta being Diverse and shocking to see that but it ain't the first . I even know a town here in Texas that sells them galore and even been around people who houses, churches ,etc. have been burnt up and the flag was left burning ..So again guys it's no biggie just Surprised but I have built my bridge and gotten over it just wanted to here some of the viewpoints but still have my mindset that it represents a sign of symbol of something and best to leave well enough alone ...
O.k. my question or concern was already addressed .. So no need for all that mind this and mind that I'm sure you've posted something that someone may've felt a certain away about but this is a Forum board and I have the right to express/so do you .ole well..
