States Bridge Rd, Johns Creek
My hubby has been offered a position that would be off State Bridge Road in Johns Creek. I am not familar with the area and so I am trying to decide should we entertain the idea.
Where would you live for school and traffic reasons? We are a middle class family house price 350 and under and I am a stay at home mom for now, but will eventually go back to school teaching.
I have heard it is a nice area and have read some threads on it. Which elementary schools would you suggest? We have a 4 and 5 year old?
Also are there any church preschools that have kindergarten programs not private school?
Thanks...

Hello,
I live in Johns Creek and have a home for sale. Johns Creek is a new City in north Fulton County. it is in parts of Alpharetta Ga. Which is my Post Office Address even though it is Johns Creek. They won't change to Johns Creek at this point, Perhaps in the future. If you are looking for a home in the low $3000's that is large contact me on this site and I will give you more info. It is a great buy with many new upgrades.
regards,

Hwy 120; State Bridge Rd runs from Kimball Bridge Rd. to the Chattahoochee River. West of Kimball Br, it's Old Milton Pkwy and east of the river, it's Pleasant Hill Rd. It's pretty much the center of Johns Creek and prodominately residential. There are countless subdivisions in several price points. The area feeds into Chattahoochee HS, some of it may feed into the new HS that is being built right now. The elementary schools are State Bridge Crossing, Dolvin, and Ocee. Of these, Dolvin has continually ranked very high.
As far as church preschools, the only ones that I'm aware of is Mt. Piscah UMC and St. Francis, part of the Holy Redemner catholic church.
If you'd like info on some specific neighborhoods, DM me.

Johns Creek is a very nice area of Alpharetta. Here's more info. If you are going to buy a new home, there are thousands to be saved.

Thanks so much for letting me know about schools and the road layouts. Any neighborhoods in the 300K range? I am nervous since it seems like it is a very upscale area and I just don't won't to feel out of place so to speak if everything is million dollar....if that makes since.
Thanks again

Pinewalk is, and its off Kimball Bridge, I think Kimball Bridge Crossing and Tuxford are low 3's You can search on coldwellbankeratlanta.com by school. Chattahoochee High school is great. Actually most of the Alpharetta public schools are great. Ocee and Barnwell are great elementary schools as well.

We send our oldest to Shakerag Elementary and are very pleased. But you'll find that just about everyone who lives in Johns Creek is happy with their school.
A few subdivisions that fit your price range in the Shakerag area: Blackstone, Riverwalk, Amberleigh, Devon Hall, Huntington.

Trish, the Simpson Elementary (Gwinnett county) school district is also very desirable for families, with housing in the price range you mentioned. Your hubby would be driving against traffic to get to work which would be a big advantage. It is a very friendly area with many good church preschools to pick from.
