Default Any feedback on Silver Creek Communities - McDonough - Bridleridge Homes, Henry County

Does anyone have any info on the builder Silver Creek Communities in McDonough - Bridleridge subdivision Henry County? I just found their website and not familiar with this builder. How is the quality of construction, How is the area as a whole?

Silver Creek seems to offer a lot of house for the money. If you are diligent, there is a good change of saving thousands through versed negotiations.

What is the climate of people in the McDonough location vs. Heron Bay in Locust Grove. We are actually looking at a Resale Ryan Home 5/4 for $300,000 in Heron Bay. I found a mixture of nationalities which I want - how is the McDounough area in relation? I realize that Heron Bay offers all the bells and whistles as far as amenities however, I would rather a larger house for that money - I found a 7/6 at silver creek for less but I want to live around the mixture of nationalities as well - any feedback?

do beware. these houses are cheaply built. I am in the Madison Point subdivision in Cobb county and the houses are showing problems.
Initially we were totally abandoned after the pre buy inspection before closing. None of the inspection items were corrected prior to moving in. only one was fixed after move in. In the first year I had an air conditioning failure that was fixed under warrenty. now at 2 and a half years I have found a plumbing leak coming from the second story bath and damaging the first story ceiling. a neighbor reported this happening to him a year ago, have to find out now if I am still under warrenty. we only have around 32 houses in this subdivition. for 2 houses to have plumbing problems seems like too many for such a small group. there are spots on the walls where you can see the paint is too thin. I have had to adjust my garage doors several times becuase they slipping off the tracks. When I was looking around and saw Red Oak communities I thought wow those are really cheaply done. bad looking construction all through them. I figured Silver Creek was better but now I realize its the same game. Every concrete slab in the house is cracked. the driveway,
the rear patio, the garage floor. The pre wires cables and phone sockets throughout the house....take the cover plates off the wall and you will see that several are not even connected, they just run the wire in the wall but dont bother to terminate it at the socket so you have to have a tech come in at extra charge to make it usable. I have learned from dealing with Silver Creek and would not under any circumstance recommend them as a builder to anyone.

2 out of 32 with a plumbing leak? That doesn't seem so bad for homes that are 2.5 yrs old. We had issues with our new home also, but followed up with each of the builder's subcontractors to resolve. I'm just glad we didn't by a re-sale that we were considering b/c that would have come with no warranty. My guess is that all new homes, just like a new car, will not be perfect. Sorry you had to go through your issues though.
