I found this on a thread in the General US forum...it's very cool!
My neighborhood scores a 77/100 on the 'walk scale'.

Walk Score - Helping homebuyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods.

Mine scores *6* out of 100.

But I frankly don't care. The only place I've cared to walk (besides around the circle to exercise or to the pool) is to a nearby park.

I'm with you- my new house scored a "5", while my old house in NJ scored a "58". I'm totally OK with that given all of the other benefits of the new house vs the old one.....lol.

I'm surprised that my neighborhood only got a 66/100.

My address (near Centennial High School, just off Holcomb Bridge Road in East Roswell) scores a respectable 60 out of 100. Which doesn't sound that impressive until you realize that it's in an area notorious for heavy traffic and suburban development.

I noticed that they don't actually have a way to judge if a place is walkable by the most basic standard - would anyone WANT to walk there?

My old neighborhood in Gwinnett got a score not too different than my new neighborhood in the city. However, everything within a mile or so was on a highway and there were no sidewalks. No way anyone is going to walk...

My current hood in Manhattan scored a 98 while my new home in midtown Atlanta as of July will be an 83. I'm pretty happy with that... Love the city life!!!

Scored 86 on my loft properties in Inman Park ! Scored a resounding 2 on my property near Camp Creek Parkway...LOL. And 63 at my home at the Westside Village which should be improving within the year with the new retail node that's coming in. Nice website.

My address in town scores a 98. Two points less than my old address in The City which scored a perfect 100 as you would expect.
