Good date restaurant?
I'm new to the area and am trying to find a good place to take my girlfriend when she comes in town this weekend. Less than $20 per plate would be good. We're both early twenties, and I'm living near the Lindbergh Marta station.
I was initially looking at Pura Vida or Eclipse de Luna for tapas, but have heard that both of those can get loud to the point where any conversation is difficult.
We're not limited to tapas at all, so any suggestions in the Midtown/Buckhead/Virginia Highlands are appreciated.

Since you mentioned tapas and under $20 a plate, there is a place called Fuego on Crescent Ave. in Midtown. It is just around the corner from the High Museum and across the street from Opera (which I think is a dance club). They have dollar tapas from 4-6 for old cheapskates like my wife and me. Don't know how noisy this place gets at night, but it seems like a good date spot- dark, kind of atmospheric- but not upscale or pretentious. Speaking of a good date: They wrap theirs in bacon and stuff them with goragonzola..worth the trip for these alone, in our opinion.

Great Date Restaurant
Try Apres Diem 931 Monroe Dr NE
Atlanta, GA 30308 (404) 872-3333
It's a cafe, bistro, restaurant and lounge
all in one with indoor and outdoor seating. It's probably one of the coolest places to go in Atlanta. Can do anything from cafe and deserts to gourmet entrees with a mediterranean twist. You can look up their website which is their name. Great place to people watch as well. Next door to Midtown Arts movie theater.

Also check out Carroll Street Cafe in Cabbagetown - great atmosphere and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. Its owned by the same group that owns Apres Diem on Monroe.

For tapas, I like Sweet Devil Moon on Juniper (south of 10th) and Sabrosso on Moreland (near Litttle 5 Points).
Babettes on North Highland is a great place for a future date (assuming the first one goes well...)
