Default Cherokee -vs-Forsyth

Can anyone give me the pros and cons of these 2 counties?

We have 2 young children, so schools are a priority.

Thanks!

I live in Woodstock which is in Cherokee County. I love it here! Taxes are one of the lowest in Georgia and schools are good (per Georgia standards). It is hilly and there are great subdivisions here with access to stores, but you still have a little of a hometown feel.

I like that I am near 575, 175, and hwy 92. I am near Lake Allatoona. I can be at Chattanooga in 1 1/2hr! The Smokies in about 3hrs, Nashville in 3hrs, etc.

Some areas that are nice are Town Lake, Bridgemill, and Rivergreen. Nice masterplan communities. There are also plenty of smaller areas if that is what you like.

Sorry, don't know much about Forsyth.

I love Cherokee County. I am a teacher with Cherokee County schools and it's really a wonderful school district. If you're looking at homes I'd go with North Cherokee County. Great Sky is a beautiful community with lots of trees! Sorry don't know much about Forsyth. Good luck!
