I was disappointed to find that Publix only carries beer and wine. Is a liquor store my only option? And is there an intown liquor store that won't make me despair for the human condition?

Yep, you have to head to a liquor store. Where are you located? (Not that it matters today, since it's Sunday-- get to church!
Don't you know you're in Georgia?)I go to Jax Package on College in Avondale or... hmmm, can't remember the name, but there's a store on Clairmont, just south of the intersection with North Decatur. There's also a huge one by the Publix in Toco Hills. I don't know if any of those are close to where you are, but none of them leave me despairing. |

I still can't believe you can't buy booze here on Sunday. I just moved here from Alabama and we've been buying it there on Sunday for years. The hubster likes Tower Liquor on Buford Highway. They have our fave gin, Tanqueray 10.

Seriously reconsidering a move to Atlanta.
![]() What do y'all do during football season on Sundays? Out here in AZ, they start selling booze at 10:00am on Sundays. All because of football season. That's when the games start on tv out here. ![]() |

I'm near Virginia and Highland...any suggestions?
What genius came up with Dry Sundays? Next they'll outlaw the real dangers...dancing and women wearing pants! |

They sell liquor in restaurants and bars on Sunday. You just cannot buy it from retail establishments. Also, the law does not apply to consumption, just the purchase (make sure to plan ahead of time). The law is crazy, but good planning can avoid "problems". |

I don't understand the reasoning of this law. A Bible Belt thing? |
