Excuse me, but if you read the thread you'll see that we were put in a position in which we had to defend our city; it isn't just gratuitous cheerleading going on here as you suggest.
Your link is to a review of 30034...that is south DeKalb County, not the city of Decatur (30030)...fail.
And yes, our neighborhood is better than a lot of neighborhoods in the city, troll.

Whatever the 'stats' indicate I like Decatur and believe it is 'better' than many other communities in the metro area.

Many neighborhoods and cities (or unincorporated areas) in the Atlanta metro are seen as good places by those who live in them. Isn't that what matters?

God, what are these Decatur bashers comparing it to? Paris? How many locally owned and mom and pop places does Smyrna have? What about Alpharetta? Maybe Deluth?

They dun lawst their minds.

P.S. Avondale Estates (right next to Decatur) also has very nice neighborhoods. If Inman Park had Alpharetta's lovechild, it would be Avondale.

Truly. This poster wasn't even referencing the City of Decatur--30030 but a part of DeKalb County with a 'Decatur' zip code. I didn't take the time to determine where the zip code is located but while it may be a nice enough place to live the City of Decatur is 'better', jmo. There are a number of places in and around Atlanta that I prefer to other places for one reason or another.

Ah, well--'to each his/her own'.
