Be careful with Strip though. They are restrictive. Larger parties aren't accomodated on the spot and if you try and make reservations they'll put a minimum bill in place (and wont let you split the checks).

I LOVE their sushi and wanted to host a small dinner party there...they wanted at least $3k spent and I couldn't have more than 10 people.

That sounds a bit ridiculous. Any other places in Atlantic Station? I've heard it's nice. I also heard about a place called 2 urban licks?

You can always do Strip if you go upstairs and do the standing service (where of course you aren't guaranteed a table). it's a really nice atmosphere...

I've never been to 2 urban licks but Ive heard it's nice as well. There is always bowling in Atlantic Station (I think it's called 10 pin or something like that...). They have VIP rooms but it's expensive as well.

ETA: Scratch bowling..that's not dinner related, lol

2 Urban Licks is very nice...It would fit the bill for your dinner party and they have nice indoor/outdoor seating which would be perfect to start the night off. Great food and atmosphere and I doubt they have a table mininmum... Go for it!

I would say the new Maxim Prime Steakhouse (yes, from Maxim Magazine) at the Glen Hotel would be perfect for you. I've heard there is lots of eye candy there, and the restaurant itself got a good review in the AJC last week.

Maxim Prime is really nice spot, they have a nice open Bar on Wednesday nights by a local promoter on the rooftop which is really nice . It's located at the Glenn Hotel and is a huge improvement over the BED Restaurant which was in the same spot before.

Another spot you may want to check out that has more of the "Grown & Sexy" atmosphere your looking for would be Rare Rare Atl
YouTube - Rare Soul Tapas Restuarant. I think this would be the best spot you you and the bruhs and a sexy upscale urban atmosphere. The Atlanta restaurant scene has grown so much since I first arrived in 1998 so you have plenty of options.
