Under colonialism, Europeans built the infrastructure, provided jobs for the natives, and improved society. Once Europeans were forced to leave, and the countries were returned to their people and governed by their people, the economic and infrastuctural fabric which had been built began to break down.

Have tapped out what? There is still plenty of resources there, if only the governments and private interests would do what they could to use them for the nation's benefit. The United States keeps crime statistics of every country for your information. In Ethiopia like in other countries unlike the US laws are very strict. There is no prisoner reform. If you kill you get killed and no prison sentences for 10+ years. The law is very clear therefore people don't defy the law. Again, non-white people do not commit the most crimes but people do.

Rcsteiner, I am learning this about GA. How is it that an area can be unincorporated? That just doesn't exist in CA. Even at the county level some of the planning shouldn't be allowed, some of it just doesn't make sense and goes against "Green" planning.

I don't disagree with you about Iraq. We shouldn't have gone in there. There are various beliefs about why it was done, although I do not believe that it had anything to do with spreading freedom or taking out the terrorists. Some believe it was to protect Israel. It could be. That doesn't justify it, though.
