Hello all...I am looking into this community Turnbury Gates built by View Point Homes in Chamblee. Never heard of them so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. Chamblee sounds like a great place to live as the taxes I think are lower than living right in Brookhaven but it's also accessible to Buckhead/Brookhaven area if I am correct?

Can any give me any info on living in the town on Chamblee as well. I am single, divorced, 35 looking to relocate down there. Thank you a bunch!

I primarily represent buyers of new construction and I have not dealt with this builder yet. It looks as though they build a nice home.

What kind of warranty do they offer?

Yes they look more like the Montee Hewett homes I saw in the West Village rather than a Pulte type builder. I do not know the warrenty info yet. I am going to view them on 6/22.

Lately, I have seen problems with trusses. Regardless of what builder you choose, get a good inspector to identify any potential problems. Even then, some builders balk at an inspector's report because the home was cleared by county inspectors; that's when you need to know how to navigate around such arguments.

I am also looking at Turnbury Gates. It seems like they have nicer finishes than the other communities. Some of what I am seeing lately looks cheaply built.
They told me they offer a warranty through New Home Warranty. They represent quite a few builders

Chamblee is also one of the best school districts in town and so I am heavily leaning there.

I did not visit Turnbury Gates, but I did visit their sister community Telfair Gates (which has the same floorplans). The floorplans are very nice and the townhomes in general are classy and luxurious.
However, I would caution you about the location of Turnbury Gates. Your neighbors are: a Lowe's, an apartment complex, and a bunch of very small run-down ranch homes. While the general vicinity is nice (especially being close to Perimeter Mall and Lenox/Phipps), that immediate area is not that nice in my opinion. Do you really want a Lowe's in your backyard?

Default disagree with blue

The homes in that area are not run-down. Many of them are renovated. There are even some tear-downs in the neighborhood. Blue has posted incorrectly about this area in another post also. Most of them were built in the 1950's.
