Sandy Springs' elementary schools do not compare to those of East Cobb academically. They are not bad schools by far but East Cobb schools are still superior. If diversity is important to you both Riverwood and North Springs High have a plethora of non-white students. In your price range I would suggest that you try sending you kids to Mt. Bethel Elementary or Timber Ridge Elem. in East Cobb. They are both in the Walton Cluster. Living in these areas will put you with close proximity to Sandy Springs. Walton High School consistantly ranks among the top three best public high schools in the state. Most parents who can afford to do so send their kids to private school after grade 5 in Sandy Springs. The schools go downhill at the middle and high school level as a result. More families in East Cobb send their children to public schools all the way, regardless of their econmic standing.

That, my friend, is becoming more and more elusive everyday.

Thanks. We did end up putting an offer in on a home in Tritt, Hightower and Pope. In the end it was the school scores that won me over.
