I've been through there plenty of times -- very residential except for the church-owned playing fields right at the railroad tracks, a bakery thrift store, and a couple of warehouse-style office/industrial buildings. Most of what's there are 30-year-old subdivisions. Never had much occasion to drive around in them, but didn't see anything that would make me think they're unsafe.
(BTW, it's "Old Rosser Road", not "Old Rossiter").
