South Metro Preschools (East Point, Fayetteville, McDonough: daycares, house, salary)

I know people here can help, I just hope I don't offend anyone while asking for it.

I have a 15-month-old son who is ready (or at least I am) to get out of the house at least 3 days a week. I'm searching for a work at home gig in publishing or small business planning (I know, wishful thinking) or a p/t outside the house gig with a nice perk like a discount on clothes for my teen girl (I know, crazy wishful thinking).

I've looked at the chains (Kids R Kids, etc.) and they're too pricey for me and just feel too... i don't know, just not right for us. Not that they're not good, I just was hoping for either the Montessori experience I had or the amazing family home daycare experience my oldest had (in California).

I did the bright from the start searching too, and it's great for the stuff that gets reported, but what I really need is actual people with actual happy, un-scarred children in daycares/schools on the south side (I can't drive way to East Cobb or anything on a p/t salary).

Is there a hidden gem down here I don't know about? We don't have a church affiliation, but I'm very open to a church program. Anything within 20 miles is a winner.

My daughter is at Discovery Montessori Academy in East Point (Welcome to discoverymontessori.com). We also looked at Fayette Montessori in Fayetteville. I would highly recommend a Montessori school because I feel that my daughter is thriving there. The program in Fayetteville is only a half day program until the primary program. Disvoery offers both full and half day programs. Let me know you have any questions, especially about Disvoery since my daughter is there. Good luck; I can remember searching last year, it was very challenging to find something on the south side.
