Decent Quality Short-term Apartments?
The title says it all. If we end up moving to Atlanta, we'll be buying a house fairly quickly, so we don't want to sign a six month or 12 month lease. We would like to find an apartment that will allow a month-to-month lease, preferably ITP, or at least not too far OTP.
Schools are not an issue, as we don't have any children. The place doesn't have to be luxury. In fact, we can't afford luxury. Our main concern is to be in a place where we don't have to worry about whether our neighbors will break into our house or break into our cars.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Bump.
And I'm only bumping once, because I don't want to be rude. But I really need an answer on this one, so maybe new eyes will see it now.

Try www.Craiglist.org (Look for short-term/temp housing) or google Short-Term or Corporate Apartment rentals. You should definately be able to find something there. Hope that helps .

We lived in River Heights Apts in Marietta for about 30 days. We signed a 6 month lease with a 3 month waiver, so we were only committed for 3 months. The apts are in East Cobb right next to the Chattahoochee River and next door to multi-million dollar mansions on Columns Dr.
It wasn't a great place and the apartment was small, but it was functional and safe, as well as being in the best school district in GA (Walton HS).

The Darlington, located on Peachtree St. near Brookwood Station, is a traditional favorite for a furnished temporary apartment (it's been there since I was a kid, ie 50+ years). It's very convenient to Buckhead, Midtown, and I-85 north, and fairly convenient to Downtown (via the Downtown Connector, which is I85 and I75 south) and I-75 north.
Nothing great, but I put my 80 year old mother there for a month once, so it was quite safe as of then.
