What elementary school district am I in?! (Forrest Hills closed, yeah?) (Decatur: for sale, homes)

This is driving me crazy. Didn't Forrest Hills elementary over by Avondale close recently? When I search homes for sale in my subdivision they all list Forrest Hills as the elementary school. I did some searching around online, but can't find any information about where my kid would go one day if we stay here. 30079 zip code.

Any help? Or a place to look online? It's Saturday, so I guess I can't call any gov't numbers. I'm only wanting elementary. I know Avondale Middle and Avondale High are in my district (blah).

You need to look at the pages on Avondale Elementary and Midway to figure out your school.

Thanks... man, that information is a little confusing. Gotta read it over again to figure it out because I live on the border of one of the roads mentioned (crossing my fingers it's actually Avondale Elementary).

edit... egads, read it twice now and am still confused. I'm definitely right at the border between the two schools. Even got out a map. I'll have to ask some neighbors later today.

lol, the answer is... our subdivision folks don't know yet. No wonder that border confused me.

Where are you? We're off Rockbridge and our sub was redistricted to Avondale. I get the feeling we live very close to each other!

We're off of N. Decatur Rd. just inside 285. The other side of N. Decatur Rd. is going to Avondale Elementary. But the map doesn't say anything about our side of the street! Weird. We live in a fairly large subdivision, so I'm sure there will be some people interested in this.

That helps clarify things seeing it in map form, but still doesn't answer where we go. We are outside the map and close to an imaginary border between the two schools. It's like they forgot that we exist. Funny.

I know exactly where you live. I'm maybe half a mile away. That is funny that you're not on the map -- maybe you get to pick your school? It's like when there's no price tag, you can just name your own price, right? Right?
