In another post recently I got some great advice regarding hotels in the area and decided to book at a hotel in Buckhead which I know should be fine for our purpose. However, we are arriving fairly late in the evening (next week) and leaving fairly early the next morning so really won't be doing much in the city except dinner then heading to the hotel.
We are heading south on 75 early the next morning - we thought it might be better just to stay south of the city...anyone have any experience with hotels in the Stockbridge area or thereabouts?...is it fairly safe as far as hotel parking, things like that? Thanks. |

While Buckhead is more interesting to see while driving around, a hotel in Stockbridge would be cheaper to stay at. Stockbridge has hotels right off I-75 on Hwy 138 - the area is fine and convenient to the interstate: I had lived there several years ago. I don't fear crime in the area, and I would think it may be a bit "safer" than Buckhead.
