Well, at least we know one person is going to watch it. LOL

This has actually been discussed in here before. I believe the general idea most came to is that if they wanted to be "authentic", they should have tried to cast the show with old money Buckhead socialites - not new money suburbanites.

Another iteration of vapid, catty, self centered, insufferably whiny, money grubbing tramps. Oh joy.

I would have said 'ghetto-fabulous' instead of 'new money suburbanites.' This should do Atlanta proud, NOT!!!

Gt.. don't put words in my mouth - or on the keyboard, please. I meant exactly what I said. These "housewives" shows typically show the stereotype of each city. If they wanted to keep that trend, they should have gone after the older Buckhead socialite women. Instead, they're picking upper-income new money gals in mostly the suburbs who could have just as easily been found in ANY large city.

Regardless, yes you are correct, the show will not highlight the best of the people in Atlanta - but then none of the housewives shows do that for their respective cities, either.

Atlanta- I totally agree with you. I think they should have picked people in the rich parts of the city itself. Additionally, you are my hero of the day for this post.

Unfortunately we live in a superficial world and that is why I barely watch TV and when I do Im very selective about what I choose to watch. If someone feels so strongly about watching fake superficialness you might want to lose the tube and find other things to do with your time. As for being able to get more for less when it comes to real estate in Atlanta this is true. But please everybody stop moving here! Nobody can keep thier houses because everybody & they mommas want to live here like this is the new promised land or something and now there aren't any jobs to pay for houses and the traffice is attrocious. And if you don't want to livce around superficial people....Atlanta is definitely not for you!
