Douglas County Pig Dumps!! (appliances, home, live in)

Why is it that Douglas County never wants to do anything about slobs? I actually live on the Cobb side of the border but right off Thronton Road there is a business that closed and people started dumping things behind it. First in the dumpster and then pretty soon came furniture, broken TV sets, car parts, appliances, lawn waste and gawd knows what else. When you call Douglas County they always say that, because it is on private property, it is the owners resposibility to clean it up. While I agree with that, why doesn't Douglas County MAKE the owner clean it up?

Use a digital camera and take photos of it (from a public area such as a sidewalk and not by trespassing on the owner's property), and then email it to the Douglas County code enforcement department (provided it's on the Douglas side). Link: HERE.

Without sounding rude the way you word it, mention in your email that you'd hate to email your pics and get channels 2,5, and 11 news involved. Trust me - they HATE bad press, and most likely something will get done.

I live in Barrow county and there was a deplorable mess near my home with garbage strew all over the property. I took photos and sent them to KEEP BARROW BEAUTIFUL and they had code enforcement all over them. It's better but the slobs still inhabit the place.
