Default Safety near lindbergh and buckhead crossing

Hi everyone!!!

I am going to start my PHD at GaTech next August.
I would like to rent an partment in one of the following condos: Aventine at Lindbergh and Arbor Gates. Both are located near Lindbergh train stop.
I wounder about the safety in this area (lots of web sites claim is not).
If someone can give me more information about the whole area it would be fine!!!
Thanks.

This area has been the recipient of massive redevelopment over the last few years...as a result, there is only a remnant of the low income apt complexes that were at the root of the crime problem.
I have friends that live in the area...the crime that existed there was not generally serious, but more nuisance crime (ie having the tires stolen off your car; I kid you not). Even that seems to be going away...Lindbergh Center seems to be well patrolled between APD and the MARTA police.

(OK, I am learning Italian right now, so I am writing this in Italian for Vincenzo. Please don't laugh at me!)

Puoi prendere i viaggi illimitato in treno e autobus!

It's fine. It's considered one of the up and coming desireable areas to live in due to the location, availability of MARTA, etc. I used to live in that area in the mid-1980s when it was supposedly dicey but even then it wasn't that bad.
