kattak is on a distinguished road
I just recently moved from Minneapolis, MN to Atlanta and the total price was $1500. I used Mayflower and they were excellent. A local agent came to my home and did a free estimate. I had the option to accompany the drivers to the weight station before they loaded my stuff on the truck and after they loaded my stuff on the truck so that there would be no surprises when they arrived with my stuff. The initial quote was for $2300. However after they weighed my stuff they discovered that my stuff weighed less than what they originally estimated. Another good thing about this moving company is that the driver that picked up my stuff originally was the same person that delivered my stuff to the destination. They came and picked up my stuff on a Wednesday and I had my stuff on Sunday afternoon.

Good luck

If you don't mind me asking, how much did your move weigh? I've received an estimate from Mayflower from CA to GA and it is right around $6,000 for a 6,600# estimated load.

Thanks!

My stuff weighed 3100 pounds. I moved from a 1 bedroom condo with no major appliances (fridge, stove, washer, etc..)

I was given an estimate for moving from so. Fl to near Athens by the salesman and when the movers arrived they wanted a big tip before they even loaded the truck. After they got to my new home they wanted another big tip before the stuff came off the truck and im talking $200 each time. If I ever move again I will sell everytrhing and start with new stuff.THEY ARE ALL THIEVES

ffej, they said that my total weight was 4600 lbs but I find that hard to believe (moved my children's bedroom furniture, out door furniture, and about 20 boxes filled with clothes, two kitchen boxes, everything else we pretty much purchased new). When I asked them if I could see them weight my items I was told that I'd be charged $150 to see it in CA and it would be free of charge if I have them weigh it in GA if I find the weigh station.

Please what ever you do avoid MTF Relocation.
