Pcola110 is on a distinguished road
Post Pitts and areas W/SW of Ga Institute of Tech.

I've been looking at various bank owned properties on the net in the Atlanta's suburbs SW of Georgia Institue of Technology, West of Atlanta along I-20 and the Pittsburgh subdivision. There seems to be allot of activity going on in Pittsburgh subdivision particularly with properties being snatch up and renovated, along with new construction. How are these neighborhoods with regards to family activities, traffic, schools, crime, etc? TIA

No family activities to speak of, traffic is good in and out on the community via 75/85 on University Avenue also you would have access to many roads intown to drive into for entertainment purposes, Public Schools for the area are horrible but their is a Charter School not far from the Pittsburgh area that would be an option, Crime consists of alot of home invasions and property crimes. Marta Rail is biking/driving distance via the Lakewood/Ft. Mcpherson station.

It's a diamond in the rough and I wouldnt suggest anyone to live there. Maybe a long-term investor with some time on his/her hands could see the potential in it but to live it's a no go If you want any type of secure living accomodations with the criteria your looking for. There are just much better areas to consider at this time for living.

Pittsburg neighborhood was ranked the most dangerous in the nation a couple years ago. Not sure how much it may have changed since then. I used to see guys carrying automatic rifles with them when I went through there a few years ago.
