I love both cities; if I had to condense it to one sentence, I'd say that Boston is the past and Atlanta is the future.

I am a Bostonian living in Germany. We are moving back to the states and I choose to move to Atlanta. The horrible winters in Boston aka old man winter, was reason enough. I love Boston when ever I go home it just feels right but with the extremely high cost of living, Atlanta was the better choice for me.

With a competent government in place, I'd say that the future looks really good. I think that Atlanta's best times are yet to come.

Hi

Can you share your decision? At the end what did you go with Atlanta or Boston?
We are in a similar situation with kids education, and job, and are living in Boston from the past 12 years. Hence in a big dilemma, with our step towards Atlanta whether is the right one or not? and with kids being ready to go to High school, is this is our right step.

Also, apart from education wise, since We are not familiar with Atlanta, for us Boston is better, and weather wise I don't like 6 to 8 months of winter, might be because we are immigrants , once in a while for site seeing snow looks beautiful, but cannot stand like what we had couple of days before almost 30 inches.

Can anyone share their opinion.

Boston is a way better city. It comes down to weather..........if you can handle winter -- Boston wins.

Boston is a much more interesting city, metropolitan area and has easy access to so many more interesting communities. I enjoyed living in the greater Atlanta area but would live in Boston if the winters were better.....

It's a dynamic process. I can remember when people were thinking...wait till gas is $1 !!!! It'll also make Hybrids and Electric cars more popular.
