Default Thank you Atlanta Forum users!

Just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for helping me out over the last six months. My wife and I are leaving NYC on Monday for ATL and we can't wait to get there. Through this forum I've found information that helped me decide on where to work, where to live, movers to get me there, even who to use for certain utilities. I look forward to contributing to more discussions as I get to know the area. I don't start my new teaching job for a few weeks so I'll have plenty of time to explore. Unfortunately, our internet & cable won't be set up until July 23rd so I won't be online and will be extremely bored at home for my first week!

Thank you all again! See you online soon!

Note: Many Internet service providers around here also include some dialup time in case of emergencies (usually 20 hours a month). So whoever you're going to use, you may wish to ask them about this. If they include some dialup with your broadband, all they need to do is walk you though setting up an icon on your computer to dial in. That way during that week, you'll at least be able to get online via dialup.

Welcome to Atlanta. You are moving during the hot season (July/August), but rest assured you will love it here during the Fall/Winter/Spring.

Default We made it!

We're all settled in our rental house in East Atlanta and loving it! So much more space than we had in Manhattan. The move was full of glitches but we, and our stuff, made it safe and sound... we even passed the trailer carrying our stuff on I-85 in North Carolina!!! Internet is finally up and running and don't have to go to our friend's house to use theirs anymore.

Thanks again, all!

Excellent choice...I love the village there. A lot of great places to dine and hang out with friends.

Welcome indeed!

Here is a website on the East Atlanta Village. You should have lots of fun exploring the neighborhood.
