There are many decent apartment homes in that area. I used to live in Barrington Mill Apartment off of Terril Mill drive. It's gated and has a gym, pool and tennis courts, on site laundry or laundry hook ups in your apartment. It's not the best, but it's safe.

30080 is southeast Smyrna, and while I don't know much about apartments in that area, there are some very nice apartment complexes along Cumberland Parkway just on the other side of 285 from there (Vinings 30339).

Default If you find one, please let me know

We are looking for the same. Let me know if find something safe. thanks. marcorrin

Married couple with a one year old is moving from South Florida to Atlanta.

I will be working at downtown near to Peachtree Center.

We want to live close to work (at least within 5-10 miles) and be able to use MARTA.

We are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment (less than $1000 / month) in a neighborhood that is safe, quiet and good for walking. We are in our late 40’s and we enjoy libraries, museums, bookstores, ethnic food.

Our terms for searching are flexible.

Any suggestions, Thanks

If you work in downtown Atlanta, you don't want to live outskirt of Atlanta. You will get caught trafic when you commute to work. In your case, I would choose in town living where you can access city amenities such as library, museums, concerts, and movies. For a two bed room intown apartment, price is highe for a decent location, but supply is plenty.

I’ve stayed in two apartment complexes in that area.
  • Lincoln Hills (Terrell Mill) – This place was very inexpensive. However, like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The gate never worked, the amenities were never accessible, loud neighbors, poor customer service from leasing agents, etc. Also the water bills were outrageous and I never quite figured out why. All that said, it worked for me at the time because it was so inexpensive. Prices for 2 bedrooms were around $550 when I was there.
  • Belmont Place (Windy Hill) – This place was phenomenal and I would be hard pressed to find a single thing to complain about. It’s a gated community and very beautiful (both inside and outside). Location is right of the highway – which was a good thing to me, but some people do not like that. Staff is very friendly and eager to help. And there are plenty of resident activities to make it feel like a true community (i.e. Community Brunch every other Sunday, movies on the lawn, pool parties, etc.) If I even went back to renting again this would definitely be the place. The only negative thing I could possibly say about this place is that you do get noise from airplanes/jets flying over head – but you get used to it after a while. Again I absolutely loved this place!!! Prices for 2 bedrooms were around $1050-$1100 when I was there.
