Default HELP!!!!Military relocation to Smyrna

My husband is a US Marine and we will be relocating to the Smyrna/Marietta area in Jan 2009. I have a 7th grader and a 3 year old. I am currently working for the base housing contractor here at Camp Lejeune, NC and will be unable to transfer. I have completed my Associates Degree and in the junior year of my Bachelor's.

1) I need advise on companies, business where to search for jobs for myself.
2) I need a good childcare facility for my 3 year old.
3) If you would like to recommend your apartment complex please pass on the name.

Any information that you can share with me will be a big help. Thank you in advance!!!!

The areas around here with good schools are very expensive, and the neighborhoods right around the base don't have good schools (like Belmont Hills elementary).

I would look for neighborhoods in the King Springs, Teasley, or Nickajack school district in Smyrna or the Russell district in Mableton. Unless you're rolling in dough, you're probably going to have to settle for a pretty single family home or townhome with a small yard. You may want to look at where the parks are, because then even without a large yard, you'll have somewhere for your kids to play.
