Addison Place
I live in Addison Place in Alpharetta and its great. (near Deerfield) Its the nicest floorplans and community in the area. I am actually sad that Im moving out due to relocation because the area is so nice. They have open and spacious floor plans, very large kitchens. I am in a one bedroom delxe floorplan which will be available on 10/5/08 and the bathroom is HUGE. It has a garden tub, stand up shower and two vanaties. You could fit a round couch ottoman in the center of the floor area. Its a great place, 1084 sq ft and well priced to its competitors.

And Teacher30004, yes I would consider a townhouse but didn't think that I would have the time to fully investigate this possibility - any suggestions?

I would look at a subdivison called Lake Deerfield. It is a townhouse community and it's very nice. It's location is perfect, in my perspective. You should check it out.

You can check their site at promove.com and give them a call. They'll walk you through the process and send you apts that you may like. They'll give you advice on which neighborhoods are good, depending on what you're looking for. Then, you can narrow your search and tell theme which apts you're interested in, and they'll let you know what the availability is and what the prices are.
Good luck!

If you haven't moved here yet, I know people you live in Peserve at Deerfield and they have no complaints. I think Camden Deerfield is good too. All the best.

AMLI Northwinds is ok for an apartment complex and very close to plenty of food and shopping joints.

I researched apartments as well and found that a better alternative is renting a townhouse.
You can go on www.realtor.com or www.kexter.com or www.craigslist.com and can easily find very modern, clean, 1400sq and up townhomes for $950-$1200.
I personally don't like to have someone living above, below and both sides of me. With your budget of $1200 you could easily get a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath townhome in a very nice area in Alpharetta.
Be mindful to see which utilities you're responsible for. With some townhomes u have to pay garbage, water and gas and there are some out there that you only pay your standard electric, gas and cable... It's up to the owner of the property on what they have u responsible for. Goodluck!!!

I have a rental unit
We have a one-bedroom apartment for rent on Peachtree Road in Buckhead. It is near the Marta Station. It is a quiet complex with 28 units, with mostly mature owners living there. We are asking for $750 per month. Let me know if you are interested.
