Petey Nice--I always shopped at the Revolver Records at 8th street between 5th and 6th--they had used records at decent prices, bought a pair of John lennon sunglasses I have had since 1982 on that block, a really cool Greek restaurant on 4th and 6th Ave called kronos Corner--I wonder if you remember these places

You might find this helpful: Google has recently launched a transit scheduling service to go along with it's very handy maps service. MARTA was one of the first to be included in the free service. You can access it here: http://www.google.com/transit {fixed URL} - you don't need bracket-code here. ;-)

Marta is safe for the most part, but just like anything you should watch your luggage and stay alert of any suspicious stuff. You should be fine though especially on that route.

I've been taking the E/W line for a couple of weeks now. I like it. I wish I could continue to use it, but I'll be leaving work after it closes at 1 a.m. in a few weeks.
I am sometimes the only white person on my car, but so what? People are people. They just sit and stare off into space like they do on any subway-type system. I've never taken the N/S line, but if it's like the E/W line, it will be underground, on the ground and elevated, depending on where you are. It seems to me it would be in the metro area's best interests to expand the public transit system, given the traffic gridlock and high cost of gas. |
