I doubt that there are many Catholic schools in this area. Atlanta is more diverse now but began with mainstream Protestants as a majority.

There are several Catholic schools in the Atlanta metro area: St. Pious, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Marist, Our Lady of the Assumption and some others ones that I cannot think of right off hand. Some seem to be more selective than others. I tried getting my daughter into St. John's the Evangelist in Hapeville for Kindergarten, but she was rejected. We aren't Catholic and my daughter scored OK but not excellent on the standardized tests. I would apply to as many as possible as they are appear to be selective. Based on where we applied to, I get the feeling you have to be "in" with the people in charge at Catholic schools. Good luck.

St. Thomas More and St. Peter Claver are both reasonably close to Grant Park. Those are k-8. They are not THAT selective, but it helps to join the parish before you apply, and yes they do pay attention to what religion you are and how well your child does on the tests. They arent going to let just anybody, and if you arent catholic and your child does just OK on the tests I wouldnt be suprised if she didnt get in.

You DONT have to be 'in' with the people in charge.
