Coffee
Just wondering what brands, roasts, etc. that everyone likes. I like to make my coffee at home and just haven't found a brand that I love yet.
Any suggestions??? Thanks!

I cannot make good coffee at home but I can tell you that the Waffle House knows how to make coffee--find out what they use.
Of course there are millions of places to purchase every 'Specialty' coffee known to man in this area. I would say go to a Trader Joe's and inquire of a barrister --anyone in a Hawaiian shirt. Their products are Natural, organic and all that and I did have a sample cup of coffee that was very good. Interesting assortment of sugar and things to put in the coffee, too.
Trader Joe's--Midtown, Sandy Springs and I think somewhere in Alpharetta.

Costco roasts coffee at their Sandy Springs location, and sells it at their other metro locations too, under the brand name Seattle Mountain. It's ridiculously cheaper than the national brands and I think it's excellent. I recommend the Columbian Decaf and the Costa Rica French Roast.

The Dekalb Farmer's Market has a terrific selection of whole bean coffee from virtually every continent in the southern hemisphere.

Dunkin Donuts coffee is my first choice. Starbucks and Caribou are OK.

I'm from NY...
and the best cup of coffee I've ever had was at Caribou Coffee at Ashford Dunwoody Rd near Johnson Ferry Rd(in 1999) where my brother used to live. I don't know if it's still there, however. Every time i was going to visit Caribou after that something happened and I never got a chance again. I'm visiting Atlanta next month so i'm definitely going to Caribou again.

Oh, I was just there this Saturday with my family.
Have they been there long? I'm by that way all the time and never noticed the place until all of a sudden last Sat...so we stopped in. It's a big place.
They roast they're own coffee which is a plus. But I think they hot brew their ice coffee, which is a bad thing.

They've been there about a year...it's been quite the success story.
Now we anxiously await the opening of the Grange Public House across the street. Because there are times when coffee just won't do the trick...
