Default Lakewood Atlanta - New owners

Interested in what other owner in Lakewood are experiencing.
bought a home in East Atl in the 90's. made over 100k on it. Most people love the neighborhood now, but when i bought, people thought I was crazy. It turned much more quickly than Grant park did...thinking it was the village.

Just bought 4 homes in Lakewood. Spend a lot of time there and love it.
I know the negatives, not hard to point those out., but would like to hear from others who have actually bought a home in Lakewood in the past 1 or 2 years?

Since we started buying the following has already happened.
1. A new Arts and Culture center opened less than a year ago. City of Atlanta Online

2. A new bike path was just completed less than 6 months ago through Lakewood South been park includes beautiful new bridge.

3. A new coffee shop is opening in a month or two?

4. We have already fixed up one home and are renting it out for more than 750 per month...not bad...great tenants that have ironically moved in from OUTSIDE of 285......ummmm could be a trend.

Anyway, I know the negatives and they are serious, but I have already been a part of great neighborhood that turned.
