help! my husband is considering taking a job in marietta, Ga. We have three small children. I am looking for a safe place to raise them. Something with a small town feel.

I would say Douglas County is undesirable because of the poor public school system.

I guess that depends on what you mean by undesirable. I assumed that you meant such things as high crime, vandalism, open air drug trade, etc. I don't think that there is a majority White area where you will find these things. At least I can't think of one.

Some would argue that the southern end of candler rd, glenwood, and certain portions of lithonia and stone mountain are "undesirable". Not that I necessarily agree, but use those areas as a gauge. What white areas are on par with those afforementioned areas in terms of desirability?

After all, all the things you mentioned are all in little five points... (well not that much violent crime, but crime none the less...) and i think that's a predominantly white area...
