I have recently been compiling statistics for Gwinnett and Cobb Middle Schools. It has been quite a shocker, and I'm sure that once you see the true side, you'll agree that we don't need any more "diversity".

Why did you pick only those 2 counties? Lets see all results for Fulton & Dekalb. The shifting demographics as the suburbs become the new ghettos are already well documented, although these numbers do force those last few holdouts to sit up and take notice.

I'm in the process of getting all the counties. In fact, I have current figures for about twelve Atlanta counties. I have to obtain past data for the other counties. As soon as I do, I will post it.

Trust me, Fulton and Dekalb Counties are even worse, and that's hard to believe. However, those last few "holdouts" aren't as white as you probably think they are. In Forsyth County, there is only one middle school over ninety percent white. One is only about 58% white, three are in the 70-79 range, and three are in the 80-89 range. In Cherokee County, three middle schools are in the 80-89 range, one is in the seventies, and two are in the 60-69 range. These figures for both Forsyth and Cherokee are considerably different than just ten years ago. It's showing white displacement and dispossession. Quite sad.

Is this post to find the "whitest" schools? Also are you saying or implying that because the other minorites are on the raise the school is not as good? I'm trying to find the basis for this post. Also how much have all these?schools grown in overall size. Atlanta is constantly growing so it's all relative so to speak.

THIS IS THE STUPIDEST POST EVER!!!! Question: Are the majority of the last names of the Valedvictorians in Gwinnett American or Foreign? Parkview HS is filled with Indians/Middle Easterns and it has some of the highest SAT scores. Before Grayson HS became diverse (it's still majority white) the SAT scores were in the 900's NOW THEIR AROUND 1025. AND THE SPORTS ARE BETTER. Scarper is a Racist fool!!!

I truly grateful to the OP who took the time to demographically show statistics where a good portion of [NE/NW] Metro Atlanta is becoming diversified with "hard" data facts. Whatever his or her motive is or [is not] statistical data facts are difficult to argue with or to compromise; your feelings or perception(s) will have to adjust.

The Cobb County Middle schools I'm familiar with are Mabry, Simpson and Hightower Trail. I'm truly pleased to see that parents from all walks of life, culture and religion are branching out and making this sacrifice to put their offspring in the best possible educational environment in the State of Georgia.

It is NO longer true that that ANY center city metropolis is or is going to hold the monopoly on "diverse culture, religion, creed, race, orientation" or what not.

And for the [petty souls] sake ... there is no need to quote higher/lower percentages of diversity for comparison, it simply is just that - suburban diversity on the rise.

For reason of observation and this post ... I've had a few written disagreements with the OP over another topic ... however just posting demographic, statistical enrollment data information on two different counties middle schools DOES NOT MAKE ANYONE A RACIST.

Everyone knows Gwinnett schools are filled with minorities...

As for cobb, the East Cobb middle schools are 70-75% white (note: east cobb middle school is not actually an east cobb school), and the rest of cobb county schools have much more minorities.... also, just like everyone already knows...

I mean come on, are you just now realizing that... gasp... Lilburn is full of Indians?!?!

Seriously, if the monstrous Hindu temple didn't tip you off I don't know what will.... maybe if you'd ever been to Gwinnett or any part of cobb that isn't east of Old Canton Road you wouldn't be so surprised...

As for Fulton and Dekalb... also predictable... everything north of Sandy Springs will be majority white, everything else won't be.... duh. (edit: excepting one or two schools since we are dealing with middle schools here... for example the Shake Rag area in Johns Creek is mostly Korean, but if you move up to high school level it's majority white again)

And if anyone is wondering why the school demographics are skewed toward minorities more than the overall demographics, it's because minority families with children are the ones that have been moving in recently....

So just so we're clear... everything between I-75 and I-85 on the north side is majority white... everything else... isn't.
