Default Atlanta's Market Hot?

I've just heard that Atlanta's housing market is really heating up - lots of buyers looking for places to live. Central Florida's is still a little slow, so this is interesting news.

What do y'all think?

My observations say no -- 3 months ago the "right" houses, those that were renvoated and like new, were still selling easily in Dunwoody. Now even those seem to sit.

I think very few people are making elective moves from one house to another. Most people don't want to chance owning 2 houses.

I started a thread about Altanta real estate which contains some info -- it's here:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/atlan...te-market.html

However, I think I just read a day or two ago that overall the prices were a little down for 2006 -- which of course would make it a good market for buyers, not sellers and that is part of what is referenced in the other thread. CNN Money recommends buying in Atlanta for the next 5 years.
