DOWNTOWN ATLANTA: AVOID I-75/85 SOUTHBOUND LABOR DAY WEEKEND

9 pm Fri. Aug. 29 - 5 am Tues. Sept. 2: Major lane closures are scheduled at the I-75/85 southbound merge (Brookwood Interchange) this Labor Day Weekend:

- I-85 southbound: Reduced to 2 lanes at the I-75 merge (just south of the Peachtree St overpass)
- I-75 southbound: Reduced to 1 lane at the I-85 merge (just south of the 16th St exit)

This work will cause EXTREME SOUTHBOUND DELAYS approaching Midtown and Downtown Atlanta on both I-85 and I-75 southbound. Motorists attending Downtown events are strongly urged to use MARTA or take I-285 to I-20 from either the west or east. Drivers traveling through Atlanta should use also I-285 and go around the city.
