In life many could care less if you have a 4.0 GPA, without looking at you first. My father always said, Your presentation is the first thing they look at. Make sure that along, with a good first character impression are spotless. Try coming to a job interview with grillz, big fake diamond studded earings on both ears, sagging pants looking for a position that does not require you get burned by cooking oil. Good luck, let em' sag. You make it easier for those who try.

First of all, I've responded to your post but I did not quote it. I have quoted all of your other posts that I've responded to.
And you're not right. Just because you and your family don't enjoy the style doesn't mean that's true for everyone. If you don't like it, don't wear your pants in that fashion. In the mean time, why not leave the people who do enjoy this style alone?
We don't look at it as demeaning at all. You seem to only be concerned about the outer appearance of people like this, even despite the fact that there's kids/people that come from well-loving homes that also like this style of wear.
I think at this point it's more about Caucasian parents not wanting their lily-white children wearing a design style that started in the black community. But you're not going to change your narrow-minded view on this subject anytime soon.
Basically, if you're going to generalize about the people that wear these clothes and say you don't like 'em because you think they look "ridiculous" or "won't get a decent job looking like this", then do it. Why you want to have this style completely banned is beyond me though.

PC you are speaking to people who feel they should limit others freedom due to their own opinions and feeling and have no regard for what this country is supposed to be about because they respect no on else's culture or lifestyle.

Maybe because ATL is 65% black but it is WHITE AND HISPANIC TOO HERE ON THE WEST COAST...LAS VEGAS/LOS ANGELES. I am amazed to see WHITE BOYS BY THE TON with the saggy look as well. That crap is everywhere.

We have never talked about this pull your pants up thing ever in our home nor is racial prejudice an issue in our home. And our extended family is mixed. Just kind of the strange perceptions of a five year old. Needless to say we were kind of stunned by her remark.

There are other ways for the generation to express themselves correctly and respectfully; a fad that started in prisons, to let other men know who was on receiving end, is not at all appealing! No one wants to see that you as, 20 y.o. man or younger or older, are sporting sponge bob squarepants boxers or any other undergarments for that matter. Pull them up. Same thing goes for young females who should dress and carry themselves better. They wouldn't be attracting the wrong type of male nor would men be disrespecting them.

I thought I read that the rumor about sagging pants being related to prison dating was false and it was more a result of the prisoners having their belts taken away from them.
It doesn't matter though. The fact is that it started in the prisons and people are walking around emulating prisoners. Something is very, very wrong.

Look I just don't want my five year old to see someones rear end. I don't care what color they are. I don't go topless because it is indecent. If you can wear this style and not show the old coin slot than I have no issues, otherwise pull your damn pants up.

Well,I can see from the large amount of posts here, this has been "one hot topic"with quite a bit of imput from all.Now it's my turn.First of all,I want to say,I firmly agree with everyone who has said,"for these guys to be walking around in public with there pants sagging down and behinds showing is indecent and disrespectful."Like it or not guys,it's just a fact that you cannot deny.In addition to that,it's just plain distasteful and annoying to other people out in public who have to encounter you. Now to the rest of you, this is what I have to say.I understand how the indecent behavior can be offensive to you since it's not how you or me,for that matter was brought up by our parents. The thing is,it would pay everyone well to not get so"bent out of shape over this fad and to give as little attention as possible to it and in time, like all other fads,it will go away.I personally think the more it's talked about and the attention it's given especially with all of the disaproval over it,the more teenagers doing it want to rebel.Right now, there is a law in Waynesboro Ga,a rather small town too, banning the behavior. In essence it says,"kids caught wearing there pants sagging down, are took home to there parents with a warning. The second time, the parents are fined for "failure to supervise".Now to a lot of you ,that may sound pretty good, but I personally diagree with a law banning it,because laws are meant to stop or prevent some harm to an individual or groups/classes of people and while very annoying to have to look at out in public, there is no evidence that says this has cause anyone a harm or some sort of loss____money or otherwise. As I said above, just quit focusing so much on it and "look the other way"Please, don't anybody get a dum idea and attempt to pull one of these guys pants down.some of these guys can really "throw down" and will "beat you down"Besides that would be really stupid.

I agree with you. I dont enforce or agree with banning, nor ,making it a law. I just posted about my disgust. You're right, there are so many rights being eroded now. Government (Big Brother) is keeping too many tabs on us. I just speak about the youth elevating their minds, and to aspire to greater things, not going in backwards trends, i.e prison mentality. You have too many kids thinking that being smart is dumb or corny, talking properly is wrong, and going backwards. That's all. The sagging pants is an eyesore, but to each his own. They'll either learn or pay the price. Like I say, and it's a quote from Muhamed Ali, basically stating, if someone at the age of 50 thinks the way he/she thought at the age of 30, he/she lost 20 years of his/her life.

You don't see someone's rear end when they wear sagging pants. The most you see are there boxers. There is nothing "indecent" about this.
You wouldn't even be worried about going topless if the media didn't make such a big deal out of it. You were born with those body parts. It's funny how violence is tolerated in this country in terms of media but sex is seen as a taboo, despite the fact that it's something natural while guns are not.
