Default Norcross?

Hi again!

I guess some of you already saw my thread about Roswell, Dunwoody, and Sandy Springs. What do you think about Norcross?

Thanks again for all of your comments!

You can ask about all of the suburbs of Atlanta and get just about the same response...some good, some bad because there is some of each everywhere. Norcross probably has some more affordable homes than the Dunwoody, etc. areas. They all seem about the same to me because there is the one huge factor they have in common that I couldn't tolerate - horrendous rush hour traffic.

Default My Opinion

I've only lived here since March of 06.
Everytime I watch the news Norcross is on it. Shootings and all kinds of stuff.
The guys where I work tell me that Norcross used to be a great place to live.
Recent years it has just fallen apart.
Like the previous poster said. There are parts to every town that aren't the best. Parts that are.
I just know I hear/read about a lot of crime in Norcross. Maybe it's just certain isolated areas.
Just my outlook on it.

It basically is certain isolated areas. No city is completely blanketed with crime throughout, and definitely not Norcross. There's a great historic downtown that I used to teach in...really nice. I've seen other areas with beautiful homes and nice streets that obviously aren't crime ridden. If you're worried about it then get something in a gated community. They're all over the place.

If you're considering Roswell, Sandy Springs, etc., consider taking a pass on Norcross. But don't take my word for it; see for yourself.

The spalding corners area of Norcross is very nice, and Norcross downtown is a real gem for suburbialand of Atlanta.

Beauford (sp?) hwy area is rough though...east of it anyway.

The biggest problem with all these places, for my 1 cent, isnt the crime...its the traffic!

Downtown Norcross is really nice though!!!!
