Um, Help, Please?
I'm a Virginia native thinking of relocating to the Atlanta metro area soon and I would like some more info. I know a lot of the statistics and whatnot, but I want to hear from the Atlanta natives and transplants- especially those of you who have relocated from other Southern cities in the past five years.
Thanks in advance.

You'd like more info about what? Hear about what?
If it's just simply how well folks like it here, then you can search around in the Atlanta room and find tons of information from previous posts. If you have some specific concerns about the city, then post those and folks will step up to respond.

I left va beach for atlanta - better jobs, better home value, better wages, faster drivers!, better quality of life overall. Definetly miss some elements of the beach front though.

^Fast driving can be a mixed bag, though, especially since speeds of 100 mph are not uncommon on Atlanta's interstates. Always leave your driveway incredibly alert...

That right there is just ridiculous, it's no wonder so many accidents (preventable) happen in Atlanta on interstates. I do admit NoVA residents (some) drive slow, well below the speed limit.

Living in Williamsburg where the speed limit is 25-35 through town, it can get old after a while! Especially when it should only take you like 3-5 minutes to get to the interstate but b/c the speed limit is 25 and the retirees decide to go 10 mph it takes like 15 minutes to get to the interstate.
