Or maybe Hickory House? They used to be all over town - now I think we are down to only two (Dunwoody & Northlake).
At one point they even had one down in Tallahassee.

Ah yes, I used to go to the Old Hickory House on Memorial Dr near Hambrick Rd.

I remember that one.
When I was a kid, we used to go to the one at Scott Blvd. & North Decatur twice a week! I LOVED their Brunswick Stew.
I might have to take a ride out to Northlake later......

We used to go to Doby's on Ponce de Leon near the Plaza Theater, especially late at night after leaving the San Souci.

Streetcars-- I would visit my sister in Lakewood and riide the streecat to town (rich's etc) to shop.

Do you know the cafeteria I am talking about? I always got jello cut in cubes in a tall dessert dish with whipped cream interspersed. If I scratch my brain really hard this is one of my earliest memories, probably 3 or 4 years old.
