I'd stay away from East Cobb. Best of those would be Alpharetta, a decent distance from 400, with Roswell close.

This will help, although it's just ozone. Particulates tend to group around highways. Other noxious gasses travel a pretty long way.

I saw a better pollution map somewhere once, but I couldn't find it in a quick internet search.

What map are you looking at? 400 runs right thru the smack dab middle of Roswell and Alpharetta. East Cobb, or what is generally referred to as East Cobb is well off 75 (would say Johnson Ferry and Roswell Road to Lower Roswell would be the heart of East Cobb)-- no interstate standard freeway for several miles.

Yeah, East Cobb proper (Johnson Ferry corridor) is the farthest of the three from highways. West Roswell (which borders East Cobb) is also pretty far from any highway. East Roswell and Alpharetta are both close to GA-400.
