Default Good place to rent around the Perimeter Mall (Dunwoody Area)? How is Post Crossing?

Hi,

I have been search online/offline for places withing 1-2 miles of the Perimeter Mall, i just started work there. I cant seem to find anything with 2b/2ba under $900 that is decent? I've seen Post Crossing, Pointe at Perimeter, Windsor at Asbury, Gables, Savannah...

One problem i run into is there is no decent reviews anywhere, apartmentratings.com presents a very different picture from the actual that i see there like Post Crossing is rated pretty low while i checked it out and it looks great?

Is Dunwoody that expensive? I really want a Townhouse and Post Crossing has some beautiful ones..Any comments?

Thanks

Check out The Ashford townhouse apartments just barely over two miles from the mall (inside the Perimeter)

http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q=

Although they are not brand new and not all of The Ashford apartments are townhomes (most are, but ask), they seem well maintained, very near to parks and within easy walking distance of Starbucks and Kroger and there are some two bedrooms listed in the high $900s here:

Dunwoody is expensive, unless you can accept something older and farther from the mall.

A friend of my mother has moved into the apartments in the parking lot at the Super Target and says they are lovely. No idea what the rent it going to be.

There is some thought that all the new development is putting pressure on most of the apartments you listed -- they have or will have to lower rent, which may in the long term result in a lower quality product.

I know I am not being much help...

Avoid the Gardens of Dunwoody at all costs ... what about some of the apartments inside the perimter on Savoy?

I wouldn't trust apartmentratings.com. I've lived in two stellar apartment apt complexes, and both had mediocre reviews on that site. Unhappy renters love to be vocal.

Default apts in perimeter mall area

I just relocated to Atlanta and used a service called ProMove to find an apartment in the Perimeter Mall area (post dunwoody). I've only been here for a couple of weeks but it seems like a great community. Apts are expensive ($900+ 1BR) but the area is convenient, private gate to MARTA if you are working in town. ProMove saved us a lot of time. Check them out, it's a free service.
